6 CEs

This workshop introduces participants to core concepts from the Sexuality Educator Anti-Racist Training (SEAT) framework to deepen understanding of how racism and bias shape sexual health outcomes. Through guided reflection, case examples, and applied practice, participants will examine how race-based harm occurs on individual, community, and systemic levels and identify their own emotional and behavioral trauma responses when such harm is caused. The session equips professionals with practical, trauma-responsive interventions and strategies to acknowledge, address, and proactively mitigate the impact of bias on the sexual health and intersecting identities of the communities they serve. Participants will leave with concrete tools to strengthen professional responsivity and support more equitable service experiences and outcomes.

This is an in-person workshop that will be held on Washington University’s Danforth Campus. The exact location and directions will be emailed to registered participants before the course date. This workshop meets the licensure requirement for 3 hours of continuing education in cultural competency/humility.
