In this course, members will learn about how humans have migrated around the world since nearly the beginning of their existence as a species.  Participants explore how barriers to movement have been erected by those seeking to exclude and overcome by those determined to relocate. They will also analyze current immigration statistics to uncover myths about immigration and understand why these myths persist. The course will also review current U.S. immigration policies and those of other nations, concluding with a discussion on potential policy changes that could benefit both migrants and those advocating for immigration limits.
