This course explores the fascinating world of bourbon, answering questions such as: What makes whiskey bourbon, and how did the name originate? Why does Maker's Mark spell "whiskey" with an "e"? What is the Lincoln County Process, and is Jack Daniel's considered bourbon?  Who said, "If they are dumb enough to pay that much for [Pappy Van Winkle], that's their prerogative?"  Over four sessions, the course promises to be both educational and entertaining. Note: Casper "Scott" Yost, an experienced OLLI facilitator, brings his passion for history and bourbon to this course. He has visited distilleries across Kentucky, Tennessee, Lake of the Ozarks, and Kansas City, making him well-versed in the art and history of bourbon.
