BRWN-010010 - A Professional's Introduction to Self-Care and Organizational Wellbeing

This course will be held in person at the Brown School with asynchronous work in Canvas/WUEx. Access to a computer/laptop with internet access is required.

This course will investigate the occupational risks of the helping professions and provide opportunities to explore four domains of Self-Care, including physical, social, spiritual, and mental as a means to mitigate the occupational risks. Participants will examine obstacles to practicing self-care and practice strategies to overcome said obstacles. The focus will also be on self-care across the lifespan, including individual self-care and self-care in an organizational/institutional context, with skills to advocate for wellness within workplaces.
Class size is limited to 25.
