This course combines mystery, intrigue, detective, and spy novels from authors who were born in Missouri and includes an in-person interview with Rett MacPherson.  Join us as we read:

  • The Ritual Bath by Faye Kellerman, introducing detective Decker and set in New York City in the 1980's
  • A Comedy of Heirs by Rett MacPherson, one of the books in her Torie O'Shea mystery series
  • Cotton Comes to Harlem by Chester Himes, a novel in his detective series with Coffin Ed Johnson and Grave Digger Jones set in the 1950's-1960's in Harlem
  • The Honorable Traitors by John Lutz, a Thomas Laker mystery/spy novel with settings from World War II to the present
