This class will provide an opportunity to express our imagination, memories, dreams, thoughts and experience in our own poems.  We will practice writing lyric poetry in various forms and styles, finding inspiration in the poems of others.  Each week, class members will bring a poem they have written to share; our discussion will focus on encouraging the poet in expression and writing.  On the first day, bring something you have written, with a copy for each class member.  Thereafter, we will discuss an idea or image and form for a poem for the next week.
