Members will explore a wide range of current events, including politics, science, technology and human behavior at international, national and local levels. Each session begins with a brief presentation by a class member on a topic of current interest, followed by group comments and discussion. During the second hour, members will contribute topics for timely and engaging discussions. Discussion is central to this course and may involve strongly held perspectives and passionate debate. All participants are expected to uphold a respectful environment, even in moments of disagreement. Note: This group meets for 12 weeks.
