Registration deadline: October 30th 15 CEUs Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) is an evidence-based behavioral treatment for depression, anxiety, substance abuse, psychosis, and numerous other psychological problems and stressors. It teaches people to accept difficult thoughts, feelings, sensations, and memories, build mindfulness skills, identify core personal values, and commit to behaviors that are consistent with those values. Participants will learn about the model of psychological flexibility upon which ACT is based. They will learn interventions consistent with the 6 core processes of ACT, as well as mindfulness and behavior change strategies to move clients toward valued life behaviors.
