Preferred registration deadline: April 5th This workshop will be conducted in a virtual Zoom meeting format. 15 CEUs/CPH units The Sexual Attitude Reassessment model has been a crucial element of sexuality professionals’ training since its conception over 50 years ago. The SAR model aims to support participants’ recognition and examination of their biases, identify areas for professional development, and gain new insights about the sexual world around them. It is a unique framework, in that contrary to traditional didactic classroom instruction, it is designed as an experiential intensive that allows participants to engage with erotic material and process their reactions in a supported environment. This SAR will invite participants to attend to their curiosities, provide tools to practice in real-time embodiment, encourage collective care as a valuable form of personal development, and facilitate finding clear language for often unnamed emotions. We will also explore how our theorized beliefs and values intersect with our lived experiences and our relationship to bodies - others’ and our own. We will be exploring topics across the sexual landscape where strong beliefs (and therefore biases) often live, such as disability and healing justice frameworks, the politics of body sovereignty, identity-based fantasies, and the impact of new technology on sexuality. This class will include both degree-seeking graduate students and practicing professionals. Individuals registering through Professional Development will receive the class's continuing education units - but not academic credit. General Admission: $500**   Class size is limited to 15. **No discounts are available for this workshop.
