Solicitation skills are important to an organization’s success. If you are new to resource development or have never been formally trained, this course will provide a strategic framework to consider how to create your value proposition and tailor your approach. In five days, you will learn basic skills in developing and implementing a strategic fundraising program, including setting goals, choosing fundraising techniques, interfacing with staff and volunteers, data management, and evaluating results. Using a case statement as a foundation and creating a solicitation plan with supporting materials, participants will grow their confidence in “making the ask” by understanding basic principles of human nature.

Class size is limited to 25.

$650 General Admission
$450 Non-profit/Education/Government Employees

This class will include both degree-seeking graduate students and practicing professionals. Individuals registering through Professional Development will receive continuing education units - but not academic credit - for the class.
