This two-part series will guide you through the basics of constructing a presentation and offer ideas for making presentations more engaging and fun for the audience. In our first session, we’ll consider how to adapt the message to the audience, selecting and arranging content, word choices, visual resources, and presentation technology. Participants will apply this information by working together on constructing brief presentations. Our second session is all about delivery, including modes of delivery, using vocal qualities effectively, and visual aspects of effective delivery. We will discuss strategies for handling questions and answer sessions, as well as techniques to gauge audience satisfaction. General Admission: $120** Class size is limited to 30. **Discounts on workshop admission are offered to the Brown School’s students, alumni, and field instructors. We also offer a discount to full-time graduate students in other programs and to our Washington University faculty/staff colleagues. No other discounts are available.
