As adolescents and children rely increasingly on media and technology to relate to others and the world, research is trying to understand the impact on their physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development. This workshop will describe the current landscape of children and adolescents’ use of media and technology and report the most recent research on the implications.  Discussion will highlight some of the challenges that clinicians may face when working with children, teens, and their families as they navigate unhealthy behaviors tied to maladaptive use of media and technology.
