BRWN-010352 - Burn Out Prevention Through Self-Care and Workplace Wellness Practices
Preferred registration deadline: September 4th
3 CEs
Self-care refers to the practice of identifying and enacting strategies that help someone to enhance their holistic well-being. Helping professionals are at increased risk for experiencing compassion fatigue, vicarious trauma, and eventually decreased job satisfaction and burnout. Intentional and consistently implemented self-care practices can buffer these risks. This highly interactive workshop will introduce participants to a variety of evidence-based strategies for practicing self-care, including mindfulness meditation, gratitude journaling, physical movement, and coloring.
Workplaces that offer holistic well-being support are more likely to have employees who contribute positively and report lower burnout rates and higher job satisfaction. This workshop will describe organizational wellness practices that agencies can use to create or strengthen their employee well-being plans.
This is an in-person workshop that will be held on Washington University’s Danforth Campus. The exact location and directions will be emailed to registered participants before the course date.
General Admission: $65**
