Preferred registration deadline: September 1st This workshop will be held in person at the Brown School 3 CEUs Building a diverse workforce and inclusive workplace starts with implementing equitable recruiting and hiring practices. But bias impacts our actions and decisions as hiring managers and is embedded into processes. This workshop will help participants to identify and understand the types and patterns of bias and where they show up in the recruitment, interview, and selection of candidates. Participants will leave with concrete strategies to help mitigate individual and structural bias at every step of the hiring process, including the review of position requirements, interview committee composition, scoring rubrics, and interview dos and don’ts. This workshop meets the Missouri & Illinois social work licensure requirement for 3 hours of continuing education in diversity/cultural competency/humility. General Admission: $60**   Class size is limited to 36. **Discounts on workshop admission are offered to the Brown School’s students, alumni, and field instructors. We also offer a discount to full-time graduate students in other programs and to our Washington University faculty/staff colleagues. No other discounts are available.
