Preferred registration deadline: July 29th This workshop will be conducted in a virtual Zoom meeting format. 3 CEUs This workshop will engage participants in a critical consideration of how cultural competence standards for social work practitioners focus primarily on our responsibility to clients and overlook the responsibility to demonstrate cultural competence with other staff and colleagues.     We will explore the importance of extending cultural competence standards beyond our work with clients, implementing the same values and competencies in our work with one another. This concept will be primarily applied through the lens of race, but the basic learnings should be applied to all social identity groups. Workshop participants will walk away with a stronger understanding of cultural competence with clients and with colleagues and co-workers. This workshop meets the Missouri & Illinois social work licensure requirement for 3 hours of continuing education in cultural competency/humility. General Admission: $60**   Class size is limited to 45. **Discounts on workshop admission are offered to the Brown School’s students, alumni, and field instructors. We also offer a discount to full-time graduate students in other programs and to our Washington University faculty/staff colleagues. No other discounts are available. Admission discounts apply automatically in your cart, based on your profile in our registration software.
