BRWN-010322 - Helping Youth with Anxiety and Mood Disorders
Preferred registration deadline: September 26th
3 CEs
All children experience anxiety and moodiness. Most of the time, it is temporary, and they can cope and move on with their lives. Other times, however, it is excessive, gets in the way of their functioning, and meets the criteria for a disorder. Unfortunately, anxiety and depression are on the rise in children, and it is vital for mental health professionals to know how to identify them. While there are effective treatments, many individuals often display overlapping symptoms and complex presentations. Understanding these differences and how to approach them therapeutically has never been so needed. Participants in this workshop will learn to identify these disorders, understand best practices and treatments, and effectively assist families throughout the treatment process.
This is an interactive synchronous distance learning course via Zoom.
