Preferred registration deadline: July 31st 3 CEUs Healing through loss does not follow a single, standard protocol or a reliable linear progression. Art therapy can help adults find a new way to move within their grief process and access feelings or memories they may not have words to explain. This workshop will guide you in implementing three different art therapy experientials that leverage Bruce Perry’s 5 R’s (Relational, Relevant, Repetitive, Rewarding, Rhythmic) as a therapeutic bridge to help clients process grief. Participants will gain a basic understanding of art therapy, review the stages of grief, and consider the connection between grief and trauma. Participants will also explore the sensory connection between the brain and body by practicing art therapy experientials ourselves. General Admission: $60** Class size is limited to 45. **Discounts on workshop admission are offered to the Brown School’s students, alumni, and field instructors. We also offer a discount to full-time graduate students in other programs and to our Washington University faculty/staff colleagues. No other discounts are available. Admission discounts apply automatically in your cart, based on your profile in our registration software.
