Preferred registration deadline: January 24th 3 CEUs/CPH units Whether it’s orienting people to their jobs or required trainings for compliance or skill-building professional development, most workplaces make significant investments in training their teams.  However, all too often these training approaches are designed without leveraging what is known about how adults learn new skills and retain information. This session will enhance participants’ understanding of how adult employees typically like to be engaged.  We will discuss formal learning opportunities (through staff and HR trainings) as well as informal ones (as members of teams and departments). Participants will be engaged as adult learners to demonstrate how specific strategies can be embedded into staff training approaches and leverage the strengths that adult learners bring to the workplace and training environment. General Admission: $60**   Class size is limited to 30. **Discounts on workshop admission are offered to the Brown School’s students, alumni, and field instructors. We also offer a discount to full-time graduate students in other programs and to our Washington University faculty/staff colleagues. No other discounts are available. Admission discounts apply automatically in your cart, based on your profile in our registration software.
