Preferred registration deadline: October 4th 3 CEUs/CPH units The phrase “caught in the middle” evokes the challenge of bridging a gap between two different sides of an issue. It’s also a phrase that many social services managers can relate to, as they may have responsibility where they don’t have authority or need to distill the needs and concerns of one group within an organization to another. This workshop will frame the roles and responsibilities mid-level managers have toward multiple stakeholders: upper management, employees, clients, and community. We will frankly discuss the implicit conflicts of advocating for client best interests and employee perspectives, while supporting and implementing management decisions. Best practice approaches will be shared for management, internal communications, and representing sometimes conflicting stakeholder interests. General Admission: $60** Class size is limited to 30. **Discounts on workshop admission are offered to the Brown School’s students, alumni, and field instructors. We also offer a discount to full-time graduate students in other programs and to our Washington University faculty/staff colleagues. No other discounts are available. Admission discounts apply automatically in your cart, based on your profile in our registration software.
