Preferred registration deadline: September 27th 3 CEUs/CPH units Many of us were raised to avoid conversations and interactions that focus on our differences or feel uncomfortable when we find ourselves in conflict and disagreement. As a result, many of us have had little practice communicating across and about our many differences, especially differences of identity, experience and thought. This workshop will explore the societal need for us to become more effective in our communication with people who hold different views. We will practice strengthening skills for engaging and staying engaged when the conversations become difficult. This workshop satisfies the Illinois licensure requirement of 3 hours in cultural competency. General Admission: $60** Class size is limited to 28. **Discounts on workshop admission are offered to the Brown School’s students, alumni, and field instructors. We also offer a discount to full-time graduate students in other programs and to our Washington University faculty/staff colleagues. No other discounts are available. Admission discounts apply automatically in your cart, based on your profile in our registration software.
