Preferred registration deadline: July 24th 3 CEUs/CPH units The current climate in the US feels more tense, more polarized, and less civil to many than it has in recent memory. This plays out in personal relationships, some of which may be conflictual where they previously weren’t. This plays out for helping professionals faced with an uncertain future of the health and social programs on which their clients rely. Participants in this workshop will explore the anxiety, frustration, and/or anger that occur within personal relationships and from maintaining professional service in the current climate. We will learn self-care skills in the four areas of energy: Physical, Emotional, Spiritual, and Relational. Discussions of self-care will include stress symptoms and compassion fatigue symptoms that result from lack of self-care. Managing energy, mindfulness techniques and purposeful actions each of us can take will be explored. An individualized self-care plan will be completed by each participant. General Admission: $60** Class size is limited to 45. **Discounts on workshop admission are offered to the Brown School’s students, alumni, and field instructors. We also offer a discount to full-time graduate students in other programs and to our Washington University faculty/staff colleagues. No other discounts are available. Admission discounts apply automatically in your cart, based on your profile in our registration software.
