Preferred registration deadline: July 26th 3 CEUs/CPH units You only have to turn on the news to realize that opioid use is a rapidly changing, all too often tragic issue impacting not only our region but the entire country. This workshop will increase your knowledge of current trends in opioid use, including illicit fentanyl and heroin. We will review medication treatment options for opioid use disorder - including buprenorphine and naltrexone – as well as discuss the importance of reducing stigma surrounding opioid use disorder treatment and recovery. Essential educational elements for clients and caregivers will be shared for harm reduction, including what to do in the event of an opiod overdose. General Admission: $60** Class size is limited to 45. **Discounts on admission are offered to the Brown School’s students, recent alumni (for 2 years after graduation), other alumni (more than 2 years after graduation), field instructors, faculty, and staff. We also offer a discount to full-time graduate students in other programs and to our Washington University colleagues. No other discounts are available.
