Join the Director of WashU's Prison Education Project to learn about college programs offered in prisons, from origins in the work of Christian prison reform organizations, to its twentieth-century heyday, to its dramatic decline and recent resurrection from the 1990s to present.  We'll pay special attention to local contexts, examining WashU's role at the forefront of contemporary higher education in prison.
