Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) is an evidence-based approach that helps people make room for hard thoughts and feelings while moving toward what matters most. This experiential, skills-focused workshop introduces the core ACT model and methods for clinicians new to the approach or seeking a practical refresher. We’ll walk through the psychological flexibility model and the six core ACT processes—acceptance, diffusion, present-moment awareness, self-as-context, values, and committed action—and translate them into plain-language interventions you can actually use in session. Through brief lectures, demos, real-play, and guided practice, you’ll learn how to introduce ACT to clients, conceptualize stuck patterns through a flexibility lens, and build in-the-moment interventions that support values-based behavior change.

Class size is limited to 25.
