BRWN-011011 - Transdiagnostic Suicide Risk Formulation and Safety Planning
Preferred registration deadline: August 14th
3 CEs
Traditionally, suicide risk has been tied to specific mental health diagnoses; however, a transdiagnostic approach focuses on the common psychological processes—such as emotional dysregulation, cognitive rigidity, and hopelessness—that occur across many different conditions.
This workshop focuses on utilizing transdiagnostic emotion regulation skills for effective suicide risk assessment and safety planning. Participants will gain practical knowledge on assessing suicide risk, identifying critical warning signs, and applying effective transdiagnostic strategies to help individuals at risk. We will cover how to create a comprehensive safety plan that integrates crisis tolerance skills, equipping participants with the tools to support individuals in crisis while fostering their emotional regulation and coping abilities.
This is an interactive synchronous distance learning course via Zoom. This workshop meets the requirement for at least 2 CEs in suicide continuing education each licensure period.
General Admission: $65**
