3 CEs

Burnout and compassion fatigue are connected to employee turnover, missed workdays, and overall organizational dissatisfaction. Perceived generational differences in employees' attitudes towards boundaries and self-care can add to a challenging organizational culture. At the same time, social workers have been told that self-care is essential to maintaining well-being and is even an ethical imperative. However, living out "self-care" is challenging for social workers without organizational support and quality supervision.  Recent research indicates that organizational cultural changes and targeted well-being strategies are essential for the health of social workers and helping professionals and that these changes do not need to be costly to be effective. This workshop will explore strategies to increase social worker well-being, provide meaningful supervision, and improve organizational culture to more effectively sustain our employees and meet our organizational mission and vision. Attendees will have the opportunity to work in small groups with their peers to craft organizational well-being plans.

This workshop meets the Missouri requirement that LCSW supervisors receive 3 hours of continuing education in supervision per licensure period.

This is an interactive synchronous distance learning course via Zoom.
