BRWN-010109 - Building Your Conflict Management Repertoire
Preferred registration deadline: July 31st
3 CEs
Inevitably, individuals in leadership and team roles will face conflict, and their effectiveness often depends on how well they understand and navigate it. This workshop invites participants to step back and examine what conflict is, review common assumptions, and distinguish between healthy and unhealthy ways of engaging.
Using an adapted form of the Thomas-Kilmann Conflict Mode Instrument, which explores five basic conflict-handling modes, participants will determine when each mode is appropriate, based on context, goals, skills, and relationships. Through reflection, participants will discover their tendencies, recognize patterns in how they respond to conflict, and identify opportunities to broaden their repertoire. This workshop emphasizes insight over skill-building, helping participants better understand the range of conflict responses available and where future development may enhance effectiveness.
This is an interactive synchronous distance learning course via Zoom.
