BRWN-0100086 - Finding Your Role in Social Change Work
Preferred registration deadline: November 27th
3 CEs
Social change takes many forms, and meaningful impact requires people who bring different strengths, perspectives, and approaches to the work. Understanding where you fit can help you contribute more intentionally, collaborate more effectively, and sustain your engagement over time.
In this interactive workshop, participants will explore several frameworks for understanding the different roles people play in advancing social change. Through reflection and application, participants will identify the roles that most closely align with their strengths and preferred ways of contributing, regardless of their formal job title or position. Participants will also consider how these roles complement one another and use the frameworks to examine the dynamics of teams, organizations, and coalitions. Participants will leave with a clearer understanding of how they can leverage their individual strengths for greater impact, recognize where additional roles or perspectives may be needed, and build more balanced and effective approaches to creating change.
This is an interactive synchronous distance learning course via Zoom.
