This class will view films about old people, focusing on the themes of mutual learning between old and young people and problems associated with aging.  From the inter-generational theme, we will view “Harold and Maud”, “The Intern”, and “Victoria and Abdul.” Problems of aging include the loss of mentation (“Nebraska”), the desire to start over (“The 100-year-old Man, who Climbed out the Window and Disappeared”), and the loss of precious parts of the self (“I Am a Noise”).  The course will be arranged with time for discussion.
