This course will center around four works set in the early decades of the 1900s.  We’ll consider fictionalized accounts of JP Morgan and his personal librarian, a rowing team at the 1936 Berlin Olympics, renowned architect Frank Lloyd Wright, and one author’s love letter to pre-war New York City.  Through these texts, our conversation will focus on the intersection of history, culture, and art.
